Fall 2026 Sessions:
Prelude String Ensemble Sept 28-Nov 9
Prelude String Ensemble is a non-auditioned string orchestra session for students age 9 and up who have played their instrument for at least 2 years and are looking for additional orchestral experience, but aren't yet at the level of NVYO's auditioned ensembles. Students may be playing in a school orchestra already, or seeking their first ensemble experience - all are welcome!
Prelude Project is not a substitute for school music programs or private lessons. It's meant to complement them, giving students additional avenues to build musical skills, confidence, and orchestral technique. Prelude Project ensemble students are expected to remain enrolled in any other instruction they may presently be part of at school or through lesson studios.
There will be an informal performance for family offered at the conclusion of the session. Additional sessions may be offered this season if there is sufficient interest. String Ensemble fall session will be limited to 20 string players, to ensure adequate coach to student ratio.
TUITION: $150 for the session • early registration $125 • scholarships available
