DAL SEGNO CAMPS

one-week day camps for young musicians

Dal Segno: SERIOUS FUN!

August 8-12, 2022.

Dal Segno (pronounced “Dahl SAYN-yo) is a day music camp run by Northern Valley Youth Orchestras.  Students learn to work cooperatively with others at their playing level through chamber ensemble coaching and rehearsals that focus on improving rehearsal techniques, discovering new musical concepts, and developing a team approach to ensemble playing. It’s challenging, but a lot of fun! Camp days also include time for social activities and teamwork skill building. We say Dal Segno is “serious fun.”  Students experience both chamber music (small ensemble) and orchestra  playing at camp. Students must be available for the entire week, and able to participate in the concert Friday over the noon hour.

There is often an optional extra performance Saturday morning at the farmer's market.
Each session will be limited to between 16 and 20 campers, and all appropriate safety guidelines will be in place.
Our 2022 location will be the Grand Forks County Historical Society/Myra Museum, at 2405 Belmont Road.
