Join the Northern Valley Youth Orchestras for their 15th season opener, "Encore!", on Sunday, November 16th, at the Empire Arts Center. This immersive performance features over 90 regional student musicians exploring global cultures through works by Strauss, Holst, and the North Dakota premiere of the multimedia film "Oceana." From the sights of China to the sounds of the ocean, the concert offers a diverse symphonic journey led by talented local youth and UND mentors. Tickets are available at the door on a pay-what-you-can basis, with pre-concert chamber music starting the afternoon's festivities.

Northern Valley Youth Orchestras' Philharmonic and Symphony student orchestras perform a variety of exciting symphonic music, from familiar favorites to lesser-known masterpieces. Come experience live symphonic excellence! Tickets are pay-what-you-can, with a recommended minimum of $5.

NVYO's Philharmonic and Symphony student orchestras will perform back-to-back Veterans Day concerts on November 10th and 11th, with a variety of exciting symphonic music, from familiar favorites to lesser-known masterpieces and brand new works.

Concerts each evening begin at 7 pm, with some guest performances by small ensembles. NVYO students gather to rehearse weekly with professional conductors and music coaches, and come from dozens of Minnesota and North Dakota towns and schools within a 75 mile radius of Grand Forks .
