FAQ :

When is NVYO’s Music in Bloom? Sunday April 10th, 1:30-4 pm

What is the exact location? All Seasons Garden Center, 5100 S. Washington St. Grand Forks. In the greenhouse past the main shop area. Use the main entrance!

Is this a concert? No, Music in Bloom is a fundraiser for Northern Valley Youth Orchestras, which includes a variety of music, food, and activities. You are not expected or even encouraged to sit and watch all the music – walk around and enjoy, from anywhere in the greenhouse while you do other things.

Do I have to attend the whole time? Not at all! Arrive & leave any time between 1:30 & 4.

Is there a dress code? Performers and volunteers will be dressed up in spring attire, but there is no dress code or requirement for attendees. If you want to be dressed for a spring garden party, we’d love that, but it isn’t necessary.

Is there food served at the event? Yes, there will be a variety of light refreshments:  bite-size savory and sweet treats donated by Ground Round and O For Heavens Cakes, and some cold beverages. It’s not a meal, but it will be delicious and spring-y.

What if I have special dietary requirements? Our sponsors plan to have some gluten free and vegan options included, and we can answer some questions about ingredients -but if you have severe allergies you may wish to skip the refreshments.

I cannot eat/drink during the event time for religious or other reasons – is that okay? Can I still attend?  Of course! There are many other things to keep you occupied, and we’ll do our best to make sure you have a wonderful time. Please let us know if we can assist in any way while you’re there.

What exactly is there to do at Music in Bloom? So much! There’s musical entertainment, food, a fun photo booth run by MJD Photography, a choose-your-own raffle prize raffle with tickets available at $5 or 5/$20 (plus a giant flower wheel that you can spin for bonus prizes with each raffle ticket purchased!). There will also be door prize drawings, donation opportunities, a kids’ coloring area, and of course enjoying the over-all feeling of spring while knowing you are supporting NVYO and our community! Oh, and YES the All Seasons store is open for shopping!! There are tons of beautiful plants and garden décor ideas to browse and enjoy.

Can children attend too? Yes! We do ask that they be attended by adults at all times, both for their safety and the safety of the All Seasons store (our generous hosts) and its contents. 12 & under attendees are free if accompanied by a ticketed adult. They will not be entered in the door prizes, but will receive a free spin on the flower wheel 

Is the location wheelchair accessible? Yes, it is. There are entrances with double doors and all events are on one level. Let us know if you need assistance in any way!

Will there be seating? I can’t stand up or walk around for that long. Yes, there is limited seating available, but if you for any reason require a chair and one isn’t available, please let a volunteer know and we will find one for you.

Okay this sounds amazing… where can I buy tickets? Tickets are available at All Seasons, the Empire Arts Center, from NVYO board members, and online by following link here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nvyo-music-in-bloom-2022-spring-is-back-tickets-275133761487 or the Facebook event: https://fb.me/e/2cEtPosYE . Presale tickets are $15

Can I wait to buy tickets at the door? Yes! They will be $20 at the door.

Do you accept credit cards? Yes, we do – cash or check is preferable to avoid credit card fees on our end, but we are happy to accept any payment that works best for you. We will have a card reader at the main ticket table outside the greenhouse area. Raffle tickets will be available both at the ticket table and inside the greenhouse at the raffle table.

Wait, did you say raffle prize packages? Glad you asked! Each choose-your-own- raffle prize package contains gift cards, vouchers, and other fun things worth up to $300! - you can pick which one (or which ones!)  you’d like to win. There is a prize package to appeal to just about everyone, and the prizes are all generously donated by local businesses and arts nonprofits. PLUS with each raffle ticket you buy you get a spin on the giant flower wheel for bonus mini-prizes!

Is my ticket purchase, or my raffle ticket purchase, tax deductible? No unfortunately those items are not tax deductible.  However, you may certainly make a separate donation at Music in Bloom! Any amount over the ticket face value is tax deductible. We will have a table for donations in the greenhouse, or you can donate any time at nvyo.org/donate

What about COVID protocols/masks?  If you need or want to wear a face mask you are welcome and encouraged to do so. Masks are optional at NVYO events at this time, as they are not presently required or recommended for most individuals by the CDC. If you are not feeling well we ask that you not attend, for your safety and that of our other attendees.

What if it’s raining or snowing?

The event is indoors, so it will go ahead as planned unless there is a severe storm that impacts the whole community’s ability to travel. If the event is canceled, we will refund tickets. Tickets are otherwise not refundable.
